"Achieving sustainable prosperity with opportunity for all".

Cornwall Works for Learning Disabilities

This programme is funded with investment from Convergence European Social Funds through the Department for Work and Pensions (Jobcentre Plus)

The CWLD Offer

An innovative programme that creates real employment opportunities, from 8 hours a week, for jobless people who have a learning disability, including autism or Asperger's syndrome, and who are living in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. Cornwall Works for Learning Disabilities is managed by Cornwall Development Company on behalf of Cornwall Council and its partners; Brandon Trust, Cornwall People First, Department for Adult Care and Support, Home Farm Trust and United Response and offers high quality advice and job coaching plus help with travel and other costs.

Please note that new applicants are no longer being accepted and, as a result of the end of this programme, we recommend any interested individuals or family members contact Cornwall Council who still provide support through Employability Cornwall.

In addition, the DWP Work Choice programme operates in Cornwall and is a further option for those with disabilities that are considering support.
