What is the Cornwall Development Company?
Cornwall Council has placed economic development and low carbon economic growth at the heart of its ambitions for Cornwall. The Cornwall Development Company is the economic development service for Cornwall Council and it has been charged with delivering economic priorities and solutions on behalf of the Council.
What Do We Do?
The vision of the Cornwall Development Company is "To achieve sustainable prosperity with opportunity for all in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly".
The company is tasked with a number of key priorities:
- To manage the visitor economy and market Cornwall
- To provide services to business and inward investment
- To undertake place shaping development and regeneration
- To facilitate low carbon and renewable energy developments
- To facilitate delivery of major and transformational projects
- To develop the digital economy
- To support the development of the rural economy
