LEADER

Do you have the skills to help local business and community groups access EU funding, enabling them to grow and flourish? 

We are looking for two people to work jointly across the Atlantic & Moor and Coast to Coast Local Action Group areas. 

LEADER Project Coordinators 

2 vacancies for the equivalent of 1.5 full-time posts (55.5 hours total)

£26,828 pa for full-time (37 hours per week), pro rata for part-time

Fixed term until 31 March 2019

Area-based

Due to internal promotions we are looking to appoint two Project Coordinators to help deliver the remaining LEADER programme funds within the Atlantic & Moor and Coast to Coast Local Action Group areas. These funds were allocated to the Local Action Groups by the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and the European Union. 

The post holders will proactively stimulate and support the development by local businesses and groups of eligible projects which contribute towards the overall Local Development Strategy for the area, leading to economic growth and prosperity. 

The posts will be employed by Cornwall Development Company and we will be flexible in considering various options for filling the two positions, including full- and/or part-time appointments, flexible working and secondments. Part-time applicants are advised that we would require a minimum commitment of 18.5 hours per week (0.5 FTE).

COMMUNITY LED LOCAL DEVELOPMENT (CLLD)

CLLD is about supporting local people to take the lead on developing activity that provides sustainable economic benefits in areas of Cornwall that have multiple issues such as social exclusion, very low levels of employment/skills, poor services and unfulfilled or low aspirations. These projects will be developed and will create jobs, develop skills, change lives and create more positive futures.

2x CLLD Area Facilitators

We are looking for two Area Facilitators as part of an enthusiastic and newly formed team to deliver CLLD, an ERDF/ESF funded Programme that will deliver investment to some of the most deprived areas of Cornwall.

Atlantic & Moor and South East Cornwall

Starting salary £26,828 Full-time 

Fixed-term contract to 30 September 2021

Area-based 

Atlantic & Moor encompasses North East of the county from Newquay to Bude

South East Cornwall encompasses Mevagissey to Saltash

The Area Facilitators will support the Area Coordinator in promoting and coordinating activity leading to the delivery of the Local Development Strategy in one of the two CLLD areas. This will include working with the Local Action Group to deliver local growth, prosperity and development in their area.  The Area Facilitators will also engage with businesses and communities to help develop and bring forward projects that are eligible for CLLD ERDF and/or ESF funding.

The role will also involve the publicity and marketing of CLLD (including organisation of meetings/events and social media activity) so excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills are essential. This will be a busy and varied role so the ideal candidates should be flexible, able to multitask and to prioritise workloads accordingly.

Cornwall Agri-tech Project

The ERDF-funded Cornwall Agri-tech project is designed to increase the contribution that the Agri-tech Sector makes to the economy of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. The project is being delivered by a partnership involving Cornwall College, Duchy College, the University of Plymouth, the University of Exeter, Rothamstead Research and Cornwall Development Company (CDC). 

CDC is looking to recruit the following role, which will contribute towards delivering this exciting project to private sector businesses.

Cornwall Agri-tech Support Officer 

Salary £20,731 per annum

37 hours per week

Redruth, Cornwall 

Fixed-term to 30 November 2019 

The Agri-tech Support Officer will provide high level administrative support and project coordination to the Agri-tech Business Engagement Managers (x2). The development and implementation of effective administrative systems, processes and procedures in line with business needs is a key focus of the role as is the checking, completion, handling and processing of associated paperwork, ensuring compliance with audit and funding requirements. Previous administrative experience of working to claim deadlines is essential.

The role will also involve supporting the publicity and marketing of the Cornwall Agri-tech Innovation Grant (including organisation of meetings/events and social media activity) so excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as is a confident telephone manner. This will be a busy and varied role so the ideal candidate should be flexible, able to multitask and to prioritise workloads accordingly.
