Community Led Local Development (CLLD)
Would you like to play a key role working on an exciting new Programme being delivered by Cornwall Development Company for the people and businesses of Cornwall?
We are looking for an Area Facilitator to join an enthusiastic and newly formed team to deliver CLLD, an ERDF/ESF funded Programme that will deliver investment to some of the most deprived areas of Cornwall.
CLLD is about supporting local people to take the lead on developing activity that provides sustainable economic benefits in areas of Cornwall that have multiple issues such as social exclusion, very low levels of employment/skills, poor services and unfulfilled or low aspirations. These projects will be developed and will create jobs, develop skills, change lives and create more positive futures.
CLLD Area Facilitator - Atlantic & Moor
Starting salary £26,828
Full-time
Fixed-term contract to 30 September 2021
Area/field-based; Atlantic & Moor encompasses North East of the county from Newquay to Bude
The Area Facilitator will support the Area Coordinator in promoting and coordinating activity leading to the delivery of the Local Development Strategy in the Atlantic & Moor CLLD area. This will include working with the Local Action Group to deliver local growth, prosperity and development. The Area Facilitators will also engage with businesses and communities to help develop and bring forward projects that are eligible for CLLD ERDF and/or ESF funding.
The role will also involve the publicity and marketing of CLLD (including organisation of meetings/events and social media activity) so excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills are essential. This will be a busy and varied role so the ideal candidates should be flexible, able to multitask and to prioritise workloads accordingly.

But with so many training schemes to choose from finding the right options can be a minefield for business owners, and that’s why the Skills Hub’s team of experts are here to help.
Cornwall Development Company is now recruiting for a Skills Connector to join the Skills Hub team. If you can help employers identify their skills gaps and you have the knowledge to point them in the direction of the right, cost-effective training we would love to hear from you.
The Cornwall & Isles of Scilly Skills Access Hub is funded by the European Social Fund.
Skills Connector
Starting salary £30,490 per annum
Based in Pool, Redruth
37 hours per week
Fixed term contract to 30 November 2019
Our Skills Connectors are be the principal point of contact for employers accessing the Skills Access Hub, undertaking training needs analyses (TNAs) and making appropriate referrals to a range of local and national skills initiatives and training providers. They also:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive relationships with employer sectors and their representatives.
- Support the development of emerging sectors and promote the collaboration and networking of employers
- Co-ordinate skills interventions with employers and to support the monitoring of their development/growth journey over an extended period of time
- Represent the Skills Hub at events, seminars and workshops in order to raise awareness of its objectives

The Cornwall & Isles of Scilly Growth Hub offers businesses a ‘front door’ to all available business support opportunities.

The online presence of the Growth Hub is vital to the success of the project. As part of a team of two you will design, develop and manage the website to ensure that it is always comprehensive, accurate and appealing.
Through linking to the CRM, incorporating feedback and demonstrating innovative functionality, the website will provide a positive and seamless business user experience.
