Company Structure
The Cornwall Development Company is the economic development service for Cornwall Council and as such it is responsible for delivering a range of economic development activity. It has four main service areas: Corporate Services, Tourism Services, Business Services (including the Digital Programme and Low Carbon Cornwall) and Development Services (including Places & Sites Delivery, Contract Services and the Cornwall Agri-Food Council).
Background
The Cornwall Development Company was established on 1st April 2009. It has a number of key roles:
- Managing the visitor economy and marketing Cornwall
- Place based and community regeneration and major projects
- Development of digital communication access (NGA)
- Workspace development and management
- Sustainable, low carbon economic development and renewable energy
- Engagement with business and provision of business services
- Project and programme management
